My house is for sale!  I'm not done making art though.  In fact, recently I've been in kind of a new place with my work.  I still don't know where I'm going with it, but I have motivation finally.  But I do need to move on in my life though. After being divorced for almost a year now, I've decided that I need to be closer to work and leave less of a carbon footprint.  Well, that and gas prices are killing me.  My daughters also go to school in the same district I teach in, so I will be closer to them.  Bills are a bit too much here for my taste as well.
So if you know of anyone looking for a nice studio to make their art in, well I have just the place.  Here is a link to the listing. http://www.howardhanna.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=25383&PRM_MlsName=EriePA

Finished

Here is the finished piece. I'm pretty pleased with it. The title is "Renewal". Maybe a bit too straight forward but this one was personal so there you have it.

In Progress

I finally started a new piece. It was a little rough in the beginning. I'm a little rusty for sure. I finished it today and will let it dry for several days. The first picture is just the rough stage of getting the basic form and angles where I want them. The second picture is after I went over it once to get some basic details and the last photo is with all the details. It's a little different than I imaged it but then again, it usually is.

Slacker

Wow! What a slacker I've been. Yesterday my girlfriend told me she looked at my blog and noticed it's been a while since anything was done here. I was a bit embarrassed. It's true though. I hate to admit it, but I haven't made anything in a good 6 or 7 months. But today I started a new piece. I just jumped back into things and we'll see how it goes. The piece is based on the last year of my life and of my girlfriends. It's kind of a piece to represent the process of rebuilding and transitioning from one chapter into another. Maybe this will lead me into a new direction. Stay tuned ...
